                      El Lago Titicaca en los Andes Centrales

 

 


El Titicaca es el lago navegable más alto del mundo, ubicado en los Andes de Bolivia dentro de la  a una altitud media de 3812 metros de altura. Posee un área de 8300 km² su profundidad máxima se estima en 281 metros y se calcula su profundidad media en 107 metros Su nivel es irregular y aumenta durante el verano austral.

Está formado por dos cuerpos de agua separados por el estrecho de Tiquina el más grande situado al norte es denominado lago Mayor o Chucuito y tiene una superficie de 6450 km², estando en esta parte su mayor profundidad (283 m), cerca de la isla Soto El otro cuerpo más pequeño llamado Menor o Winaymarca situado al sur tiene una superficie de 2112 km² con una profundidad máxima de 45 metros.

         Lo que debes Saber del Salar de Uyuni y el Sud Lipez

El salar de Uyuni es el desierto más grande de sal y alto del mundo, con una superficie de 10 582 km².​ Está situado a unos 3660 msnm en el suroeste de Bolivia, en la provincia de Daniel Campos, en el departamento de Potosí, dentro de la región altiplánica de la cordillera de los Andes.

Se forma en una planicie el Salar de Uyuni se puede confundir con el cielo en el lejano horizonte. El salar refleja las nubes, cuando está ligeramente cubierto de agua. Especialmente entre los meses de enero y marzo, en la época de lluvias.

 


El salar de Uyuni tiene la mayor  reserva de litio en el mundo con el 65 % del litio a nivel mundial, las cantidades de potasio, boro y magnesio. En el salar de Uyuni el método tradicional de extracción de sal consiste en formar pequeñas pirámides que lo realizan a mano con una pala, para que se evapore el agua y facilitar el transporte.


El salar de Uyuni es uno de los principales destinos turísticos de Bolivia ya que lo visitaban  aproximadamente 60 000 turistas cada año. El mejor momento para visitar el Salar de Uyuni es todo el año ya sea en temporada de lluvia que tiene efecto espejo los  refajos y atardeceres únicos en el horizonte el mes noviembre, se puede apreciar las crías de las tres especies de elegantes flamencos que habitan cerca de las múltiples lagunas de colores,  desiertos y volcanes  que son una maravilla de la naturaleza.

CONDORIRI TREK – HUAYNA POTOSI
PROGRAM 4 DAYS/ 3 NIGHTS
Trekking: easy to moderated
DAY 1: La Paz - Laguna Tuni - Laguna Jurikhota
Departure from La Paz at 08 am in our private vehicle we will take about 3 hrs. to la rinconada then we will start our trek
After lunch, we go over a pass at (4900 m.) altitude, before descending to Laguna Jurikhota  From there we have a very beautiful view of the “Cabeza del Condor”, or the Head of the Condor also known as El Condoriri, dominating the scenery (5648). It forms, with the two adjacent Summit, the Condoriri Range, in the shape of a condor with tucked wings. (L, D)
Hiking time: 4 to 5 hrs.

DAY 2: Laguna Jurikhota -   Laguna Chiarkhota

From Laguna Jurikhota we begin by ascending a steep slope to reach Laguna Congelada, a jewel nested at an altitude of 4900 meters at the foot of El Condoriri (5648m).
From there we keep climbing to a second pass Paso Austria, (5100 m) before descending on the other side towards El Condoriri and El Pequeño Alpamayo base camp, at the edge of Laguna Chiarkhota (4670 m) overnight at the base camp. (B, L, D)
Hiking time: 6 to 7 Hrs.
Day 3: Laguna Chiarkhota – Maria Lloco
We leave the Condoriri behind us, pass at the base of the Black Needle and eventually reach the Jallayko Pass (el. 5025m). We then drop into the very beautiful and steep Jistaña Valley, before ascending Tillipata Pass (el. 5000 m). The spectacular scenery over the myriad of Lagunas down below is ample reward for our efforts. Later on, another downhill takes us to Laguna Esperanza, and then we will find our campsite at the foot of Maria Lloco (el. 5522m).

Hiking Time: 6 to 7 Hrs
Day 4: María Lloco – Campo base Huayna Potosí – La Paz
In the morning we will hike to Milluni pass (5000 m) from there, we overlook the Milluni Valley. We keep on going towards our shelter by passing Huayna Potosi on our left. At this point, the Andes abruptly drop into the Yungas, a green and tropical area. This is the end of our trek then we will come back to La Paz. (B, L)

Hiking Time: 5 to 6 Hrs.

TIWANAKU CULTURE

                                                   



TIWANAKU The most important arquelogical site locate 72km from la Paz on a paved road .The Tiwanaku civilization habited the Altiplano between 1600 B.C. and A.C., existing even before the Inca civilization. They made important contributions in astronomy, math religion, treatment of metals and agriculture.
We pick you up from your hotel before 08:00 a.m. The trip last one hour and a half to arrive to Tiwanaku ruins. Along the trip you can see the high lands and snow mountains (Royal range). In this tour you visit the museum and the archeological site. This civilization settled in the shores of the highest lake of the world. It was an advanced and pre- Inca culture, it started around 1.500 b.c. until 1.200 a.c. In that time, they built temples, pyramids and semisubterranean temples. One of the most interesting thing to see is the beautiful Sun Gate (Puerta del Sol) and the right preserved Monolits, which represented its leaders.
Also, you can see advanced tools of metal, stones, acqueducts, and strange iconographs. This is just a part that you will discover of this non well known civilization.
Once the tour finishes you will have a lunch. Then  we will come back to La Paz.

Lake Titicaca Bolivia





  Copacabana & Sun Island


 
 Best known as the (Sacred Lake of the Incas) Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable lake in the world (3.810 m.a.s.l.) and is shared between Perú and Bolivia, with total extension of 8.300 km2.

 
This is a mystical región flooded with traditions and relics, has been a ceremonial center since the pre-Hispanic cultures, and currently is a pilgrimage center.

Lake Titicaca & Sun Island 2 Days


 

Day1: La Paz - Copacabana:
We leave from La Paz in the morning  along the way you will observe imposing view of the Royal Andean Range as well as the Titicaca Lake. After three and a half hours, we arrive to this emblematic and spiritual center, once we arrive to this pleasant little town of Copacabana.  After lunch on board of a motor boat we?ll start sailing on the highest navigable lake in order to visit the south section of the sacred Sun Island. There are two main attractions: The Yumani area where we will find out the fountain of water which is supposed to grant eternal youth and Picocaina area, a mysterious Inca Ruin. After visiting this highlights we get back to Copacabana by the same motor boat Optional: You can spend the night of day 1 in the same Island of the Sun instead of Copacabana.


Day 2: Copacabana - La Paz:
An early start is recommended today, so we can profit the visit of (El Calvario) hill, on the way you will have several photo opportunities. Then we will visit the imposing cathedral that shows mudéjar influences in its design, with whitewashed stone walls and multiple domes decorated with deep blue tiles. This temple was originally build by the Augustinian order to house the miraculous Virgin de Copacabana, a beautiful image with a native Andean face, dressed in lavish robes embroidered with gold and silver thread and crowned with a golden halo. The massive gold altarpiece is also remarkable, decorated with silver leaves brought from the Potosi mines and also paintings from the 18th century of invaluable cost decorate the interiors of the church. Afterwards we will visit the colorful market and the souvenir street. After lunch we start our way back to La Paz at this point is also possible to continue towards Puno.

Day 2  Full day Uyuni Salt
After breakfast  we will  begin our trip to Salar de Uyuni, the largest salt desert in the world. On the way visit the salt explotation and Hotels Colchani salt, continuing the program runs Incahuasi Island (also known as Fish Island). Of volcanic origin and plated estromalitos and giant cactus, from this place are the immensity of the Salar and enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the salt flat and mountains ranges that surround it, then we will come back to Uyuni to spend overnight in your hotel.

Day 3 Uyuni - La Paz
Departure from Uyuni 08:00 A.M  We will get  back to La Paz  about 10 hrs. Aproximatly. so we will stop in Oruro We will have our lunch there then we will continue the trip. we will arrive to La Paz about 17:00 P.M  Acomodation in your
